Bank of America Donates $85,000 to Harvest Hope's COVID-19 Response

Bank of America announced today the company will be donating $85,000 to support Harvest Hope Food Bank’s COVID-19 crisis response efforts. This donation will provide thousands of South Carolinians with meals during this difficult and uncertain time.

Bank of America proudly supports Harvest Hope throughout the year with volunteer service days and grant awards. This donation is just another example of Bank of America’s dedication to fighting hunger in our communities.

“We must all work together as one global community – public and private sectors, as well as individuals – to address this healthcare and humanitarian crisis,” said Kim Wilkerson, South Carolina state president for Bank of America. “As the needs in our local communities continue to rapidly escalate, we must take swift action to provide resources where there are gaps, and help local communities protect their most vulnerable populations.”

Harvest Hope is distributing food to thousands of South Carolinians in need each week, and this need is expected to continue to increase with the rise of the unemployment rate.
